Who am I? Well, I might be called the OBSERVER. I can be found anywhere and everywhere in J.E.B. Stuart. I see all, hear all, know all. What do I see? Students milling around in the midst of a traffic jam, freshmen dashing to get to calls and knocking down dignified juniors and seniors, the alter¬ nating frowns and grins of coaches as they watch the last play of a game, and the precision of the marching band. What do I hear? Laughter and chatter during lunch hour, teachers talking a mile-a- minute to seemingly deaf ears, voices of the choir filling the auditorium, cheerleaders and fans screaming their lungs out, and the click-click-click of typewriters. What do I know? The excitement of the first day of school, the panic erupting when semester exams loom only a week away, the frustration of the newspaper and year¬ book staffs in trying to meet the deadline, term paper-itis, the confusion and furor of the halls, the hushed atmosphere of after school hours which is interrupted by an occasional flurry of activity, the fun of the Junior-Senior Prom and the signifi¬ cance and thrill of graduation. 4
