SPEECH The Ranum High Speech Team of 1980-81 had a very successful year. Under the coaching of Mr. Don Heiman, the team made it to the finals in every meet. The entire team achieved the honor of placing third in one of the Denver Public School meets. Members Jacque Walker, Kelli Godfrey, Mike Maes, and Ginger Hawkins not only made it to the finals, but placed either second or third in a variety of meets. The team had the advantage of being coached by both Mr. Heiman and Mrs. Overton, at different times. Both had to leave during the year. Thanks to the Language Arts teachers who sponsored the club after Mr. Heiman's departure, they were able to continue in competition and finish with a very successful year. PAC The Ranum High School Parent Advisory Committee is made up of parents, as well as former students of Ranum. Also a member is Mr. Rhoda, principal. The members of the committee have become a very valuable communica- tion link between the school and community. Their enthusiastic service and support is greatly appreciated. Both the class and the club offer students the chance to have fun learning, and at the same time, develop leadership skills.
