' BIBLE CLUB The main purpose of the Ranum Bible Club, during the l980-81 school year, was to provide a place and environment for students who have a common admiration and interest in the Bible, and to exchange views and ideas. Under the direction of Mr. john Clymer, the discussion based meetings of the Bible Club gave members a chance to do just that. Some of the main goals set up for the club included: 1. to increase Bible knowledge 2. to distinguish between man's doctrine, fdenominational ideasj and Bible doctrine 3. to learn effective methods of Bible study PSYCHGLGGY CLUB The Psychology Club was started at Ranum in 1967. The purpose of the club was to promote unity among members, to act as a service organization to the school and community, and to apply princi- ples that had been learned in psychology class. The necessary qualifications for membership are to be a senior, and to be currently enrolled in Psychology I or Il. The Psychology Club has many activities during the year. Starting things off this year, was the initiation meeting held in the banquet room of Stouffer's Top of the Rockies Restaurant. The fol- lowing officers for 1980-81 were elected at the dinner: Roy Maynes, President, Lori McFarland, Vice- President, Lea Ann Rohde, Secre- tary, and Lisa Smith, Treasurer. Other activities of the year includ- ed a pot-luck dinner at C.E.P. Le Parc, and various community ser- vice projects. Officers elected for the year were, Mike Zimmerle, President, Rick Rounds, Vice-President, and Kara Klocker, Secretary. This is the work of the Ranum Roundup staff, who with the help of Mrs. jonelle Porter, create the monthly newspaper for students at Ranum High School. The National Honor Society is a highly respected organization consisting of high school students who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, but who are also strong of character, possess leadership qualities, and who demonstrate a desire to aid in the betterment of their school. Headed by Mrs. Nancy Persons, the Ranum chapter of NHS admits qualified juniors and seniors into the society during a special initiation ceremony held each spring. During the 1980-81 school year, officers elected by the chapter included john Stegman-President, David Meyers-Vice President, and Robyn Mowry-Secretary. Qbottom rowj Kelly Belanti, Laura Garcia, Steve Faciszewski, Cindy MeKeal, Ginger The Fellowship of Christian Athletes has been meeting on Monday nights since the beginning of school again this year. The meetings are held at the students or sponsors homes. These meetings afford each member a chance to strengthen their Christian life in a nondenominational setting and involves sharing and caring for others. The group has been involved in many special activities this year. Members have attended mini-conferences, training sessions, and a few are planning on attending summer camps. The group attended a special breakfast. This years officers have been especially active and involved: Presidents: Lori Moriarity, Sean McDaniel Vice Presidents: Ginger Rinken- berger, Bruce Robinson Secretaries: Cindy MeKeal, Steve Fazciewski Treasurers: Laura Garcia, jim Hovorka The sponsors are jim jenkins, Bob Mitchell, and Leighton Mekeal.
