CHOIR T48-PERFORMANCES ,JW 5 gr W .. M The Madrigals, Show Stoppers, and the Concert Choir make up the Ranum High School Choral Department. Madrigals are fourteen very talented young men and women who sing songs from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. They have special costumes also. The men wear tuxedos and the women wear long formal dresses when they perform at the various social events and concerts throughout the year. Twelve dancing and singing people make up the Show Stoppers. Their creative dance steps are choreographed hy either Miss Williams or Bev Calahan, a professional dance teacher in Denver. They perform a variety of show tunes at concerts and community events they participate in in the entire year. Concert Choir consists of 50 young people. They sing classical and pop music. The juniors and seniors are encouraged to audition for All-State Choir. Ranum is honored to have Cindy Mueller and Chip Hartfield selected to attend. The Choir has performed at the Westminster City Hall for the Christmas Lighting in addition to the winter, spring, and pops concerts. Miss Williams was welcomed as the new director.

ORCHESTR et S, rises. 1 is Orchestra is The Ranum High School Chamber composed of violins, violas, cellos, and string basses. They play mainly classical works and some pop songs. The orchestra attended state contest. All members performed in a trio or quartet at State Solo-Ensemble Contest. W,--'mug Cathy Lucatuorto, julie Dotson, Kristal Seder, jeff Fletcher, and janet Savage were chosen to attend All-State Orchestra. Ms. Allwein has done an excellent job with the orchestra.
