' ,ff The Ranum swim team finished a strong second in the league this year boasting to be the only team that beat the league champion Northglenn in a dual meet. The Raiders were plagued with injuries all year long and finally had a healthy team that came up with individual state qualifiers in Tom Duffy, Mike Hack, and Mark Rients, and 400-meter Freestyle Relay team includ- ing the above swimmers plus Jr. Don Holman and Sophomore Tom Fasciewski. Mark Rieuts was considered to be one of the top swimmers in the state this year. 189
