CLASS FLOWER CLASS COLORS White Carnation Blue and White ADVISOR Fred Kabbe THE CLASS OF 1952 Sixty-six members of the Class of 1952 have completed their formal high school education. When we left the eighth grade there were forty-eight of us. As we started our first year in high school there was an increase of thirty-six, making the total enrollment eighty-four. From our Freshman to Sophomore year we gained nine but lost eleven students. This drop-ped our total enrollment to eighty-two. The next year we gained four but lorst ten as some more dropped out along the way for one reason or another, This year, our final year at Ithaca High School, we have gained only one student, Darrell Askie, who came to us from Big Rapids, and we lost e even. In our Freshmen year we used some of our better talent to prepare a skit for the Variety Show. As Sophomores, our dramatic ability made itself known in the three one-act plays which were presented in the Spring of 1950. Our Junior year began to show us some of the respon- sibilities of high school students. That year we presented the Junior Play. It was presented in the middle of April. This year, as always, we had the Senior card sale. This was quite a -success. Another Senior project this year was the reliable stand-by the Senior Play. It was watched by an enthusiastic crowd, in spite of the fact that it was held in the middle of the week. The heavy snow of 1951 forced the postponement of the play from November 16 until December 12. Thus we have completed four years of our high school education. Some will go on to the institutions of higher learning and some will stop here. All, however, will remember and cher- ish the memories of their high school days. 18
