Dedication Exercises For The Gymnasium Building ITHACA PUBLIC SCHOOLS ITHACA, MICHIGAN Friday evening, February 19, 1937, marked another memorable event in the his- tory of the Ithaca Public Schools, when 700 of the townsfolk assembled to take part in the dedication service of the new gymnasium building. O. L. Smith, an old neighbor and friend of Ithacans, came for the main address. Mr. Smith built his address on the three Pillars, Reason, Righteous, and Service. Elaine Reed, President of the Student Council, accepted the building for the school and pledged the school to the proper uses and care of the building. In all, it was an evening of rejoicing blessed with friendliness and good will, all of which goes for guarantees of a happy school and community.
