ln Memoriam The world was made for her to hold. She glowed with love for life. Her students Her friends Her math She gave her warmth and personality. She taught with originality and spontaneity. She worked to improve the math program, and was responsible for many exciting reforms in the curriculum. She had many friends, and was a wonderful friend herself. She gave more than she received. Miss DQ,-Q M, DePeW She demanded little from the world. She always tried to be kinder than was necessary. She radiated interest for life. for Music . . . her favorite composers were Brahms, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky . . . he' favorite musicals were South Pacific and Carousel - - she could whistle beautifully for Drama . . . she stole the faculty-student show when she played the lead role in Our Miss Brooks for Stamp-Collecting, Automobiles, Photography, Antiques, Canasta, Books, and always Mathematics. She held the world through her understanding and love . . . and when she let it go, she left behind her memory, the memory of a rare person who was genuinely kind.
