Putting their thoughts for the future aside for a while, the Seniors of 1955 review memories of their fmal year at lthaca High School. The fall of the year was spent in organization of senior committees, clubs, dances, and cam- paigns. During Christmas vacation the senior pic- tures were taken for the Annual. On February 3, songstress Suzanne Stewart be- came Miss l.H.S. ln the spring, the class sold sta- tionery to raise money for the class gift to the school-risers for the auditorium stage. In April measurements were taken for the caps and gowns-making graduation seem much nearer. On the morning of May 13, Class Day, 16 . . .Mary Kay Clarey . . . .George Burrell . . .Yvonne Nagy .....Jean Gelder . . .Mr. Elmore the Seniors entertained the rest of the school with an assembly-a panel show called What's My Secret?H The afternoon of the same day found the class members at Enfield State Park enjoying their final picnic together. May 21 was the date of the Senior Ball, and its theme, Till We Meet Againfi seemed very appropriate. The month of June brought sober and serious thoughts. After successful bouts with Regents, the seniors were ready to celebrate at their banquet in the Statler Hotel, ,lune 25. Graduation exercises were held at Bailey Hall on ,lune 27. To the strains of Pomp and Circum- stancew the Seniors of 1955 bid farewell to Ithaca High.
