They are a hard working lot who devote their time and effort to the welfare of the students in the Ithaca public schools. It is their job to appoint the Superintendent of Schools, to approve matters pertaining to the budget, to determine the school policy concerning public matters, and to promote good public relations. They do much on the behalf of the students and deserve our praise and thanks. Congratulations to the members of the Class of 1944! You have resisted the temptation to leave school during the war years. You have reached the goal of high school graduation. This objective has not been easy to attain, especi- ally as many of you have worked in industry, agriculture, or business on a part-time basis while still carrying your full program of studies in high school. You are richer educationally and our community and nation will be the richer tomorrow because of your wise decision to stay in school until graduation. We are proud of you and confident of your future success. Con- CLAUDE L.
