During our four year stay here at Ithaca College, a formidable City of Education arose in our midst on the South Hill campus. There were many among us who shared the enjoyment of being the first occupants of these new facilities. But we may still graduate with the basic feeling of the antiquity of Ithaca College, instilled in us during our stay at the downtown appendages of the college. An old look had turned to a new look seemingly overnight, for we had grown and the transition was hard to realize. As you look through the pages of this book it is hoped that you'll remember that we blended the old and the new. This Book shows the face of Ithaca College, a face that is familiar but one that grew different during our stay here. It will continue to change after we leave...

PRESIDENTS ADDRESS When I look at the cornerstone of the Union Building with its c'l96O,H I can scarcely believe that it was moved into place October of that year. It was the first above-ground evidence that a campus was to be. You, the members of the Class of 1963, saw the beginning. You shared in the experience of a campus growing at an accelerated pace with new buildings springing out of the ground like mushrooms. But never fast enough. As you graduate, bulldozers will be excavating for three great academic buildings: the Music Building, the Health and Physical Education Center, and the Science Building, all to be completed a year from next fall. That you will not enjoy the complete campus as under-graduates is unfortunate. But years hence, as you return to your Alma Mater and take pride in its magnificence, you may also be proud that you were a part of its beginning when there were three campuses, Dewitt Park, Quarry, and South I-Iill-all Ithaca College and 4'Listen, my children, we rode buses from one to the otherf' Hozvard Dllllblglllllil President
