The IJC Student Council is composed of the officers, the representatives elected from each of the classes, and a floater representative. These members are elected by a campus-v ide election. This year ' s Student Council sponsored the homecoming dance, decorated the student center for the dance, and entered a float in the parade. The Student Council was also in charge of the Christmas decoration. MR. AND MISS IJC Lloyd Digby Kathy Young % ' T ' isi Miss IJC Kathy Young The parents of Miss IJC are Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Young of Pontotoc. She is a graduate of Pontotoc. During her freshman year at IJC, Kathy was one of the top ten beauties, a member of the Valentine Sweetheart court, and a member of the Drama Club. She was a member of the cast of Ask Any Girl. As a sophomore at Itawamba Junior College, she served as a cheerleader, secretary of the Student Council, and was voted Most Versatile in the Who ' s Who. She had the leading part in the produc- tion of Bad Seed this fall. Next year, Kathy plans to at- tend Delta State. Her personality and her activities in school affairs make Kathy a well-rounded student and an ideal Miss IJC. Mr. IJC Lloyd Digby Mr. IJC ' s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Mollis Digby of Ful- ton. Lloyd is a graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High School. He serves as vice-president of the Mu Alpha Theta and has been a member of the French Club for two years. Besides being active in the affairs of the school, Lloyd is a very active member of his church. He is also a member of the church choir which appears on television each Sunday. He plans to enter Mississippi State Universi- ty next year to pursue a career in mathematics. Lloyd en- joys his leisure time deer hunting and archery hunting.
