Miss Elizabeth Miller, Mrs. Philip A.  Sheffield, and Mr. N. C. Young. . - We jumped into the swing of things by selecting our Junior play and frantically begging for aids. The play was a big success and the profits we heaped financed the Junior-Senior Banquet which we had been thinking about and planning since we were freshmen. Our heads were still swimming with plans when the big event arrived . . . the Banquet and Dance! We could hardly believe that this day of much planning had come . . . and then gone . . . As we close our third chapter in this volume of life at I.A.H.S., we remember the preceding years and what they brought us, and look forward to the future years for what they too will bring. Our next and last year here at I.A.H.S. will, we know, be the best and we are looking forward to the heartaches and happiness that will make up this year. We know that when we graduate we will be proud to be remembered as the class of ' 58. 103 Daulton Adams Bettie Benson Jerry Anderson Willie Black John Barrett Johnnie Bonds Norman Beam Peggy Boren Jane Bean Patsy Bowen W. It is with pride we find our places on this campus, for at this point we are made to realize that goals have been reached, progress made, and accomplishments attained. We entered the routine of our high school career by choosing our class officers. Johnnie Senter was elected class editor for the Mirror and was selected by the class as freshman maid to attend the Homecoming Queen. Too, she and Bobby Joe Wilson were elected to join Jerry Maxcy in representing the freshman class as Student Council members. When the selecting of class favorites came, Charles Ceburn Gray and Betty Evans were elected as Mr. and Miss Freshman Class. Yes, we are proud to be a part of I.A.H.S. Even though we are conscious that hard spots must be covered and tough rungs reached; yet, we belifeve the joys and pleasures will overshadow the work and toil. Millions more are injured, and four billion dollars are lost as a result of property damage. It ' s easy to see why this has become a major national problem. It has been reported that at least 85% of all traffic difficulties involve human failures. This being true, the problem presents itself: How can we improve the driver? The answer to this seems apparent — he must be taught. And one of the best ways to accomplish this is through Driver Education Programs! The American Association of School Administrators ' yearbook states it exactly: It is to the school particularly that we must look for the development of the knowledge, the attitudes, the habits, and the skills that are necessary if we are to live with reasonable safety in the modern world.
