The cooperation of students, faculty members, and patrons of Itawamba Junior College — Lee, Monroe, Itawamba, and Pontotoc counties — is the backbone of the development of Itawamba Junior College. Continuation of this five-fold spirit of cooperation will enable this institution to continue to grow in size and in service to its people. ITAWAMBA JUNIOR COLLEGE AND AGRICULTURAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT BODY I wish to congratulate the MIRROR Staff for an excellent job in editing the 1955-56 yearbook. It is a thorough picture of the activities of Itawamba Junior College and Agricultural High School. This book will be a treasured possession for former stu- dents of future years. One of our chief objectives was reached during the school year. Itawamba Junior College was recognized as being one of the leading junior colleges of the nation by being one of three junior colleges to receive Southern Association recognition. This great honor came to us largely because of a true and loyal faculty and student body. We have accomplished many objectives during the past several years. Now, I wish to issue a new challenge to you. Let us pull up our stakes and reset them for future objectives. May these future objectives be accomplished in such a way that they will cause Itawamba Junior College and Agricultural High School to achieve even greater success. Philip A.
