Coach Brown joined the faculty as head coach. He organized the first Is- trouma High football team. Little Fuzz had a small but sharp team of eleven members. Not many in number, they were packed with dynamite and were known to the stu- dent body as the spirit of the school. The fa.me and glory which they gained brought the necessary recog- nition to Istrouma that encouraged students toward achievements in many areas. His assistant coaches were E. Brown, Clyde Lindsey, and Melvin Geller. A

Little Fuzz and his assistants led the fighting Indian tribe to Warren Easton High School to pluck the Eagles. The Indians fought a fierce battle and came out with a deserving victory, 21 to19. This day and this team was to go down in history. It will always be re- membered by those who were there. Little Fuzz remained as Head Coach at Istrouma for fifteen years.
