LAKE CHARLES- Inexperienced, as they were, the Indians traveled to Lake Charles to begin their defense of the 1955 State Triple-A football championship. Late in the fourth quarter, it appeared that Lake Charles would sneak off with a 14-13 victory, but Don Smith, leading the offensive attack, made the final tally of the game with two seconds re- maining, thus, giving the Indians a 20-14 win.
