Faculty members hold 610 memberships in X 'ln it yxhh u '-1-.M Knowing how to study is one of the most valuable skills with which we can be equipped. New courses, offered for the first time this year include sociology, debate, Art Ill. A double track in mathematics is provided at the ninth grade with the introduction of a general mathematics course as well as the traditional algebra. Laboratory work is an ap- proach to learning. professional organizations. The work of the school goes on under the direction and supervision of a faculty which seeks to provide a good learning climate for the T500 students enrolled in the school. On the com- pletion of the new iunior high school in the North Baton Rouge area, the ninth grade will be moved from this school. A wide variety of courses for both vocational and college preparation is offered. The adiacent East Baton Rouge Parish Trade School gives boys an op- portunity to spend one half of the day learning a trade. About sixty-five stu- dents are enrolled in distributive edu- cation classes this year. These people are in school a half day. They go to work in stores, for which work they get credit toward the high school diploma. Many seniors plan to live at home and attend LSU because of its location in Baton Rouge. uni
