SENIOR CLASS ft...- Ever since we entered high school we have eagerly anticipated becoming seniors Now that tl'e time is actually here and graduation is drawing near we are experiencing a new feeling a feeling of loneliness lt is frightening but exciting to leave that which we are so used to for omething so new and different For many of us there will be a new type of school for others work and for some the service We can now look back on the last few years for our high school life has come to an end During the many years we l'ave spent together as classmates there have been many memorable occasions banquets proms games and elections To the athletes of our class graduation is very sad for they have played their last games for IHS. Among those winning football letters were these senior boys: Ierry Brown Ierry Coop Harry Dolleman Morris Erickson Tom Howatson Ernie Meier Iack Merritt Pat Obert Ken Park Doug Refvem Tom Rutledge and Tom Ward. Basketball letter winners were Tom Rutledge Eric Erickson George Kritsonis Roger Iohnson Bob Bass and Ken Park. For our senior class officers we elected Doug Refvem as president Ernie Meier as vice- pre-ident Lillian Dolleman as secretary Ioan Massett as treasurer and Ierry Scofield and Ken Park as sergeants-at-arms. The senior play No More Homework under the direction of Miss Crelly was a big success-a happy occasion for all concerned. The cast included Bob Tanska, Arlene Hog- back, Donna Rummelin, Arline Nikko, Ianni Morgan, Charlaine Lawwill Ernie Meier, Mary Lou Lewis, Ierry Coop Leo Isotalo, Tom Grahn, Dick Moe, Dick Rutledge, Elvina Marenakos. Ioan Kelderman, Ierry Scofield, and Floy Whitney. Darlene Overton and Bev Morrell were assistant directors. -vc Being a very scl'olast1cally inclined class a number of the seniors made the Honor Roll They were Tim Ballard Ierry Brown Eric Erickson Torn Grahn George Kritsonis Dick Moe Pat Obert Gordon Thompson Marvin Willson Nancy Brunberg Geraldine Erickson Arlene Hogback Ioan Massett Ianni Morgan Bev Morrell Arline Nikko Georgia Oules Dar Overton Esther Phillips Donna Rummelin and Dolores Io Santa Torn Grahn was the valedictorian for the class of 54 and Arlene Hogback was the salu tatorian Members of the Honor Society must be high in the fields of scholarship leadership and service and many seniors belong to this organ- ization. They were Tim Ballard Arline Nikko Dolores Io Santa Tom Grahn George Kritsonis Ianni Morgan Floy Whitney Donna Rum- melin Dar Overton Arlene Hogback Ierry Brown Margie Scheda Emma Nagel Pat Obert and Mary Lou Lewis. Our class was very active in Student Council with many of our seniors being members. They were George Kritsonis Roger Iohnson Arlene Hogback Ianni Morgan Tom Grahn Pat Obert Bev Morrell Mary Lou Lewis Floy Whit- ney and Darlene Overton. The class colors were orchid and white and we chose lavender and white lilacs as the class flower. Our class motto, Forget not the failures of the past . . . use them as stepping stones to success,' is one that has proved itself many times and will continue to do so through the years. Our advisors, Miss Crelly and Mr. Treat, deserve much credit for the success of our class. Our thanks go to these people who have so willingly helped us. Nine
