“THE JUNIOR CLASS PLAY The Junior class, directed by Miss Pomeroy, presented their class play Bolts and Nuts on the twenty-third and twenty-fourth of October. Because ' of the bad weather the crowd was not as large as expected but everyone en- joyed the play. It was a farce in three acts, which starts when Rebecca Bolt gets an idea to make her home into a sanitarium for the mentally ill. Doctor Joy, a psychiatrist came to help her. The patients hear the rumor that Rebecca's brother has left her a fortune and it is buried in the house. Everyone looks for the money but Twind Starr is the lucky one who finds it. The characters were as follows: Benita Bolt - - - Lutie Spinks - Rebecca Bolt - Martha Grubb - - Twink Starr - - Dr. Hippocrates .Toy Henry Goober - - Phineas Plunkett - Miss Prunella Figg Cadwalleder Clippy Gertie Glossop - - Wilbur Glossop - - Jack Gordon - - .Terry Williams - - - Eleanore Shipp - Anna Petersen - Clarice Axland - - Myrtle Huey - Bill Ahrenholtz - - Lewis Juhl - Gene Borkowski - -Wilber Wetzel - Delores Swanson - - Marland Mork Delores Ahrenholtz - - -Jimmie Juhl - .Tohn Paulsen - - - -Richard Wetzel The money will be used for the Junior-Senior banquet which will be held in the spring. CHRISTMAS PLAYS On the fifteenth of December, the speech class, directed by Miss Pomeroy gave the following plays: Monologue-- She Wanted to Write was given by Dorothy .Tuhl and written by Elsie Yale. Those Christmas Gifts was given by Carmen Blackwell, Dorothy Iuhl, Dixie Larson, Lyla Wiese, and Marcille Ahrenholtz and written by Lucile Crites. A skit Babies was given by Dorothy .Tuhl and Carmen Blackwell. Monologue-- No Room in the Inn was given by Marcille Ahrenholtz and written by Irene Ihde. Pop Reads a Christmas Carol was given by Donald Thrapp, Carmen Blackwell, Jack Buthman, David Cerka, Lyla Wiese, Dixie Larson, and Teddy Axland. lt was written by Christopher Sergal.
