FURUM CAST This year's spring musical was, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum . The production was present- ed April 24th and 25th and May lst and 2nd. The musical was directed by Ms. Linda Jackson. Vocal Director was Mrs. Lee Glover and Orchestral Direction was by Mr. Wayne Edwards. t'Forum a musical comedy, takes place about 200 B.C. in Ancient Rome. It is the story of young love between Hero and Philia. Their love could not be, since Philia, was a courtesan, under the care of Marcus Lycus who is a seller of women. About this time she was purchased by Miles Gloriousus. In exchange for his freedom, Hero's slave Pseudolus promises Hero that Philia will be his bride. To do this, he tells Lycus that Philia has the plague and says he will take care of her so the others will not be contaminated. This causes complications between Miles and Hero. Miles and Philia Eventually learn they cannot be married for they are related. This talented and dedicated group of performers meets at 7:30 a.m. every school day for rehearsal under the direction of Mrs. Lee Glover.
