They're all in order. The Saga Staff is responsible for the production of a year- book. The first step in the yearbook's construction is the organization of pages. Each member is assigned certain pages- and a DEADLINE in which those pages are to be completed. Here is where the work gets tough! The Staff member must get pictures taken and plan a layout around Now to find a catchy headline. 1' , , Yearbook sales are booming! those pictures. The pictures one chooses are very impor- tant, because pictures make a yearbook. This requires hard work and responsibility from each individual, so that the yearbook can be delivered to the students on time. We hope you enjoy this year's Saga. The seniors select the people whom they feel stand-out in certain areas, for example, best looking and most likely to succeed. This year the- Saga Staff printed the ballots and distributed them to seniors enrolled in American Government classes, Sen- iors not having American Government were encour- aged to pick up ballots so their votes were also count- ed. Voting is done simply on a voluntary basis. After a week of decision making voting was finalized. The ballots were then returned to the student activities room where they were then counted by Mrs. Morgan. The results of the voting were kept secret until the release of the yearbook. The results of this year's senior favorites were signifi- cant in that the recipients were varied and unique. We in the Saga Staff were quite happy with the results of the poll. At this time we would like to thank everyone who took time from their busy schedule to have their pictures taken. Coach Bill Sinnott was fortunate in having returning players such as, Mark Orrock, Lyle Nevels, Don Harman, and James O'Brien. With their knowledge the team wasn't lacking in exper- ience. With the hitting of the above mentioned players and that of junior, Joe Valentine the offense was well in line. Vocal Director was Mrs. Lee Glover and Orchestral Direction was by Mr. Wayne Edwards. t'Forum a musical comedy, takes place about 200 B.C. in Ancient Rome. It is the story of young love between Hero and Philia. Their love could not be, since Philia, was a courtesan, under the care of Marcus Lycus who is a seller of women. About this time she was purchased by Miles Gloriousus. In exchange for his freedom, Hero's slave Pseudolus promises Hero that Philia will be his bride. To do this, he tells Lycus that Philia has the plague and says he will take care of her so the others will not be contaminated. This causes complications between Miles and Hero. Miles and Philia Eventually learn they cannot be married for they are related. Hero and Philia are then married and Pseudolus at last wins his freedom. 1,5 531 Q W me S 1 W Just a little in love Dancin' to the beat. .ark-M . --.hem T Q MA J, or til? - vi he s xiimri--A--Q-Qi.. Richard eiudici ff ,,,.,....---f Webster defines courage as that Quality of mind which enables one to meet danger and difficulties with firmness. Quality of mind implies that courage is something that is within each of usp thus it is something that is different for every person. Something that is seen as a danger or difficulty for one person may be easy for another. Courage is not an act of heroism on the field of battle. That act might be more fear than courage - an act of self-preser- vation. For some an act of courage might simply be to speak before a class or ask a girl for a date. Some need courage to face a test in the class that is difficult for them. . , or to face their peers when their beliefs and standards are different from their own. The greatest courage may be displayed when we stand up for and defend a principle that we be- lieved in regardless of pressure and harrassment from our peers. Courage is something each of us posesses. It is critical that we use our courage for just causes and the betterment of ourselves and others.
