This years Drum Major is Kevin O'Neill. He is a very important part of the Marching Band, leading them through football games, parades, and band reviews. Kevin has worked hard throughout the year by going to Drum Major camp and practicing on his own. The Marching Band performs at band reviews parades, and football games. The Band is un- der the direction of Mr. Wayne Edwards and Ohlone College and the members can receive college credit. It is governed by a band council. which includes representatives from each sec- tion ofthe band. The Flag Girls and Drum Major are also part of the council. Each year the band holds fund raising activities to earn money for travel and uniforms. This years fund raisers were candy and stuffed animals. Their purpose is to orga- nize fund raisers for the band to go on trips, purchase new instruments and repair broken ones. Symphonic Band is a per- forming group directed by Mr. Wayne Edwards. This group performs symphon- ic music at concerts and school shows throughout the year. The students are dedicated to improv- ing their musical skills and entertaining audiences.
