CLOSE UP CLOSE-UP is an organization funded by the federal government and private businesses. It was devel¬ oped to give High School students an opportunity to get a close-up look at how our government works. Students spend a full week in Washington D.C. hearing speakers, attending seminars, meeting state representatives and other interesting and important people. Some of the extra highlights of the trip were a tour of Washington by night and a free afternoon for per¬ sonal touring of Washington.
