Drum Major Our Drum Major for this year was Jon Van Zandt. Through his excellence and zeal he has entranced crowds with his exceptional skill with a baton. During the summer he attended Drum Major Camp in Santa Barbara where he took first place trophies in state competition. He plans on lead¬ ing the Irvington High Marching Band in his senior year. 68

Flag Girl ' This year’s Flag Girls have been better than ever. They went to camp and took five Superior rib¬ bons and eight Excellent ribbons. This year the Flag Girls took first place in the Pathfinders Parade. One of the other parades they have marched in was the Veterans Day Parade. They also have at¬ tended many other parades and competitions. The Flag Girls march with the Band during Half-time at the Football games.
