V ikings Parent Club The Viking Parent Club is a large group of interested parents and faculty that support Irvington in the best possible way-with action. Their support is shown in both monetary assistance and equipment donations. This is evident in all of the departments at Irvington. The President is Barbara Hayes. The officers meet on the third Wednesday of each month. The main fund raising activities are a Pa¬ per Drive and Flea Market. Irvington Mean Machines The Irvington “Mean Machines” is a large group of juniors and seniors interested in automobiles. The main function of the club is to learn automo¬ bile safety, service and also to provide social activities. They meet every Wednesday during lunch period. The “Mean Machines” work with all types of cars. This was the club’s first year on campus. Their advisor is Mr. Madsen.
