The 73-74 Freshman basketball team finished with 13 wins and 3 losses. This is the best record ever for an Irvington freshman team. The freshman Vikings finished in second place in the MVAL standings one game behind Logan, who they split with during league play. The high scoring Vikings averaged 52 points per game while giving up only 39 points per game to their opponents. This year the J.V. basketball team compiled a 17-6 overall record, which is the best J.V. record ever in the schools history. The Viking team placed second in the MVAL league with an 11-3 record. This years team was small in size but. lacked nothing in desire, drive determination, which made them a winning team. The Vikings were led throughout the season by such notable Juniors as Randy Finney. Scott MacGregor, Mike Barnum and the teams leading scorer Kevin Sanck. This years most outstanding Sophomores were Luke Hendrix and Eddie Stroman with Pat Costello showing the greatest amount of improvement towards the end of the season.
