Everyone overcome at beauty 13 14. 21 22 23 GCTOBER 3 of new building. Students get lost. No seats in study hall. School half a day. Study hall still stands Study hall seats arrive. Freshmen still lost. School practices marching--up hill and down dale. Seniors select invitations. Fair goes on around school house. nAnd the merry.go- round didn't break downln ' More Fair. School marches in parade. Pictures taken. New building makes impressive background. 4 Freshmen initiated with dolls, buckets, umbrellas and all the trimmings. 14 Teachers off to C. E. A. No school today! 30 Senior girls blow up balloons. They're out of breath for a week. 31 Hallowe'en Carnival. Tons of confetti! NOVEMBER 3 Basketball practice starts. Please pass the liniment. ll School observes minute of silence at eleven o'clock on Armistice Day. 14 Miss McGohee celebrates Book Week by posting reading requirements. Oh me! 18 American History class practices Virginia Reel. Such grace! 24 Dismiss for Thanksgiving holidays. DECEMBER 1 Colonial Party. nHere we go Loobie-Lou? 3 First basketball game. JANUARX l l939 arrives as per schedule. 2 School begins. So glad to bet back C?D 16 Annual sale starts l7 Deadline on reading. Several get in by a nose. Exams approach swiftly. 18 Exams arrive. Worry! Worry! 20 Exams over. 0ur thinking powerf?j exhausted Tigers go to Short Creek. What a night! 23 New semester arrives. We resolve to turn over a new leaf, 25 Seniors are measured for caps and gowns. Headsizes found to be larger than in Sept 27-28 Blind Tournament at Irvington. Tigers win. FEBRUARY 3 Honors announced. Thelma Bennett, Valedic- torian and L. D. Bishoff, Salutatorian. l7 New gym.opened. Tigers do not feel at home in such luxurious surroundings and get dose of Sulphur. 24 Pictures taken for the annual.
