The students attended the games in capacity crowds and backed the Tigers all the way. With the aid of the twelfth man, there was radiated throughout the entire student body a proud feeling, expressing the spirit of true sportsmanship. The Tigers brought to a climax a true comeback. Often in the course of recording the events of a school year, we become lost in the adventure, charm, and excitement of picturing queens, kings, sweet- hearts, heroes and contest winners-yet scarcely giving a thought for the primal purpose of school. We build million dollar plants and hire teachers from far and near to bring, not only the three R's, but their allied fields, to our students. This is the primal purpose. The students here pictured have lived up to their highest and finest sense of traditional education. They have given their teachers their greatest educational joys by their eagerness to learn, their conduct in class, as Well as their promise. Therefore, the teachers of IHS have chosen these seniors to stand in the im- mortal ranks of Irving High School's Who's Who. They have no sponsor, no organization, no queen, no president-they need none.
