The major- ettes, Sandra Reed, fhead- majorettej , Billye Wigley, Nancy Rily, and Barbara Lee, added to the spectac- ular performances of the band with their twirling, prancing and dancing. Drum Major The effectiveness of a high school band's man- euvers on the football field depends largely up- on the Drum Major's capability. Winston Forrest, a sen- ior, has shown much tal- ent in fulfilling his posi- tion as Drum Major of the IHS Band during 1953-55. Through l 0 n g hours of practice he has helped develop and im- prove the band's march- ing performance. WINSTON FORREST Judy Winn, Gwen Bethel, Louise Robnet. F lag Guards The Flag Guards, Judy Winn, Louise Robnet, and Gwen Bethel, ad d snap and attractiveness to the band. They are chosen to carry the flags, which are representative of o u r country and state, and the banner, which is em- blematic of our school. 29
