The Freshman Class of 1953 has enjoyed their first year in I.H.S. At the start of the school year Mr. Haze- lett was chosen to be our advisor-. Of- ficers were elected as follows: President Janet Stephens: Vice President--Evelyn Sanders: Sec. Treasurer--Mary Gaspers, Sgt. at Arms--Bob Frazier. The mighty Seniors planned quite an initiation, complete with a football game played at Helix which all Freshies attended. A return party is being plan- ed for the spring of 53 . Our treasury holds a sizeable sum from the sale of candy at basketball and volleyball games. Various members of the class took their turns at selling and cleaning up in the gym. Being the lowest classmen it was our rightful duty to clean up after the Christmas Banquet, but to tell the truth we really enjoyed it. V --- Frazier, Mann, Warlick, Shingledecker, Mr. Hazelett, Stephens, Gaspers, Huwe, Sanders, Hill, Davenport.
