Class Of 1987 The class of 1987 entered Iro- quois Central High School in Sep- tember of 1983, when we began our four years as timid and naive freshmen. It seemed forever until we could finally claim the honored title of senior. We made a good start by taking a second place with our float “FROM POP TO ROCK, THE BEAT GOES ON” in the home- coming parade; our attendants were Laura Cholewinski and Pam Dekarz. Much to our dis- may, holly hanging was cancelled due to the weather. In our sophomore year, despite all efforts, our float entitled “PE- TER PAN” placed fourth in the homecoming float competition, with Joelle Vacanti and again, Lau- ra Cholewinski as attendants. We overcame our disappointments and pulled together as a class to place a proud second in holly hanging with “A WALT DISNEY CHRIST- MAS”. Our class president for both sophomore and junior years was Kathy Donovan. In spite of the many hardships of scarce student activities because of disputed con- tracts during our junior year, our class hung together to help make homecoming and the junior ball a great success. In this, our final and senior year, we are guided by the efforts of our class president, Laura Cholewinski, and SGB president, P.J. Minich. Our unification is evident in our class spirit; we were again, the loudest class at the pep rally, made the biggest mess of confette under the bleachers, and for the first time in three years, won first place in the float competition with the theme of “GHOSTBUSTERS” for SATUR- DAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES. The attendants were Kristin Little and Tammy Beyer, and our Home- coming Queen was Laura Cholewinski. It seems like only yesterday that we were scared freshmen, but with time, we grew together, and with much success. It seems evident that we can attain whatever goals we are determined to pursue. GOOD LUCK and a successful future to the class of 1987! 5cnior (epresentdtiVc5 Laura Cholewinski Class President Liesl Gumtow Delegate Karl Minich SGB President Joelle Vacanti Vice President Laurie Beebe Treasurer Ian Wilson Delegate 24 Seniors
