To the Class of 1986 The entrance of Latimer Field boasts the symbol of pride and achievement to all Iroquois Central students. It is the mighty totempole. As freshmen we find ourselves at the bottom looking up. Our first feeling was one of emptiness and loneliness. It seemed as though it would take forever to reach the pinnacle. We have an identity complex as freshmen. No one knows us or cares to know us. Therefore, we carry the burden of many practical jokes. Our freshmen float placed fourth in competition under chairmen Kiersten Lang and Fritz Kohl. Our Holly Hanging came in third place. Finally, 1982 comes to a much welcomed end and we move up. As freshmen and sophomores, we were lead by our class president Jennifer Siebert. In 1983, our sophomore class be- gan pulling together. We took third in Homecoming Floats with Jennifer Kroh and Scott Chowaniec as chairmen. We all worked very hard for Holly Hanging, but due to the weather, school was closed. 1984 proved to be a good year for us. We strengthened our bonds as a class. We worked as a unit. Proof of this was seen in our second place ribbon for our Homecoming Float. Our chairmen were Stephanie Digati and Tom Kostrzebski. We also started a tradition for future junior classes by creating a Junior Snowball. Now as seniors, we've worked through some rough times but we stuck together as a class. Our class president for our junior and senior years was Stephanie Digati. Now that the year has come to a close, it is imperative that we set our sights on the goals we wish to achieve outside of high school. I am confident that the class of 1986 will be able to accomplish whatever they set out to do.
