HOMECOMING 1982 Homecoming 1982 was a smashing success for all those who participated. The Homecoming weekend started Friday with the afternoon pep assembly. This year the Senior Poll was announced by the Yearbook Editor-in-Chief, Judy Carpenter and Production Man- ager Kevin Abraszek, at the assembly instead of waiting until later in the year. After the pom-pom routine, a culmination of many long hours of practice by the cheer- leaders, and the color guard routine, float attendants were revealed. This year's homecoming attendants were Freshmen: Stephanie Digati and Dawn Schruefer; Soph- omores: Laurie Gaglio and Chris Balyszak; Juniors: Lau- rie Macaluso and Laury Simme; Seniors: Mary Jo Cup- pone, Mary Lou Kaufman, and Homecoming Queen Laura Schroeder. Saturday the Varsity Football team lost 12-0 to Wil- liamsville South. However, this could not harm the spirit of the half-time parade. The juniors won 1st place under Chairpersons Mark Zukowski and Laurie Macaluso. The Sophomores won second place under Steve Ziembiec and Lisa Zgoda. The Seniors under the direction of Tom Knab, and Laura Schroeder won third place. The Fresh- men came in fourth place under the direction of Chair- people Fritz Kohl and Kiersten Lang. The Homecoming dance theme was First Love . It was evident that a lot of work had been put into this. Everyone who was there had a good time.
