VOLLEYBALL, FIELD HOCKEY Newest Varsity Sport Wins 3, ‘Beautiful Jocks’ Cop One Spikers ended their first season as a Varsity sport at Iroquois with a 3-9 win-loss record . . . dropped their first five games, gained enough experience to win their sixth against Pioneer . . . super spiking by high scorer Jim Murray . . . bombastic blocking by Jeff Weber. . . Coach Rider: “Our most outstanding game was when the boys were losing 14-3 and came back to win 16-14 . . . team lost chance for Sectional playoffs to Williamsville End of a tough season finds Hockey Jocks with a lone victory against Pioneer . . . tied 2, lost 3 . . . lost a rough one in the snow against Amherst, though the jocks, according to Coach Millar, “put up a good fight and the team looked pretty good.” Co-captains Sue Hen- son and Gail Leney . . . Jocks' diet: Crunchy Grenola and “raw meat and thumbtacks” . . . “We're a bunch of beautiful jocks!” Kristy Weinschreider strives to obtain possession of the ball.
