Michelle Lukas Michelle is a quiet, demure type of girl, who doesn’t really like to get involved. But her quietness has not hindered her sports-minded- ness. She is truly the adventurer, as far as sports go. She feels that her greatest accomplishment has been maintaining her sanity after 5 days of constant smiling at Cheerleading camp-Eau Claire- summer of ’78. If she is not out running in Ironwood or Hurley, you could find Michelle listening to her multitude of albums. Her favorite song is “Yesterday,” by the Beatles. Madeline Josephine Menara Madeline is the type of person who is concerned about everyone around her and tries to make peo- ple smile. She always seems to be busy somewhere, helping those who need help or those who just need someone to talk to. She feels that her greatest accomplishment was to make somebody feel needed. All of this is summed up in her favorite saying, “It is my firm belief that it is love that sustains the earth. There is only life where there is love.” Madeline also enjoys bike riding, singing and being out in the wild- erness. 29

Thomas Komsi Tom is a very adventurous guy. He enjoys skiing, motorcycling and backpacking. In school, Tom has participated in track, cross-coun- try, and basketball. After graduation, Tom wants to go to college, but also wants to travel and in his words: “experi- ence life to its fullest.” Tom considers getting a job his biggest accomplishment. David John Luczak Dave’s the type of person that will give his best to anything he tries. He has proved this by being awarded the Papal Medal, and by becoming an Eagle Scout. Dave enjoys all kinds of sports, such as skiing, biking and swim- ming. He also likes to play basket- ball, and enjoys running, in which he has participated and excelled competitively during high school. After graduation, Dave is think- ing about becoming a baker or entering the Air Force. 28

Jeananne Mioni Jean is probably one of the crazi- est people in our class, who has a natural, instinctive talent for talk- ing and especially arguing, whether it be in general with groups, or perhaps during one of her many marathon-length phone calls. She is very active in sports, espe- cially swimming, skiing, and ten- nis. She also enjoys being around people and just riding around. After graduation, Jean plans to pursue a career in physical ther- apy- Catherine Ruppe Cathy is a sweet, soft spoken person with very few opinions to express — especially in P.O.D. Her favorite song is “Don’t bring me down” by ELO. Cathy also enjoys sports, partic- ularly basketball, bike-riding and swimming. Her favorite pastimes are reading and eating. Cathy feels that her biggest accomplishment during her years at ICHS was being elected vice- president in her Junior year. After graduation, she plans to go on to college. 30
