A multi-talented guy, Tony is interested in skiing, swimming, fishing, skate boarding, tennis, and camping. During his spare time he reads science fiction, carves wood, and draws. After high school, Tony plans to join the Army (Rangers) and be a pro- fessional mountain guide in Colorado and own a ranch. His greatest achievement, Tony feels, is not missing a day of school his whole freshman year.” Other activities include: CAC 1, 2, 3, 4; Pop Shoppe 1,2,3, 4; Server 1,2, 3, 4. Anthony J. Kapets Although Joe is clearly associated with being a bright student to his fellow classmates because of his interest in politics and history, he isn’t planning to pursue this field. Instead, carpentry has won out. In his junior and senior years, he took a building course at GCC where he learned his trade. After graduation, he plans to go to Gogebic for 2 more years. Joe, a tall, slender guy, isn't extremely out- going, but when the time comes to get hard and devout workers, he is right there. Kathy Jean Hegbloom Mark is a quiet guy who likes to play basketball, baseball, and go skiing. He enjoys tinkering with small engines and has decided to make mechanical work his occupation. This can only be done after years of training in college. Throughout his high school years, Mark had classes at Luther L. Wright High School and at our local junior college in auto mechanics and small engine repair. Other activities include: Track 1. After enduring shorthand in her junior year, Kathy has decided to use her skills and pursue a career as a secretary. However, she loves nature and being outdoors. Some of her favorite sports are swimming, camping, riding bikes, and playing ten- nis. She is a very active member in our school after being a cheerleader for her last three years. In her freshman and sophomore years, Kathy excelled in serious interpretive reading and received awards accordingly. Cathy is a very out going and politically minded person. She enjoys current events, skiing, golfing, and (most of all) people. Cathy has been at 1C for 11 ' 2 years, as she has been selected to be an exchange student during the second semester of her senior year. Scholastic abil- ity has played an important role in her high school life. She has been honored with many awards and certificates. After graduation, Cathy will be going to college to become a journalist. Other activities include: CAC 1, 2, 3, 4; Student Council 1, 2, 3, 4; Forensics 1, 2, 3; Chorus 1, 2, 3, 4; Attending Operation Bentley 3; Cheerleader 1, 2, 3; Offices (Class President 1; S.C. Sec. 2; S.C. Vice Pres. 3; S.C. President — 1st semester 4.) Catherine A. Malovrh Jim, who is an outdoorsman, likes to fish, hunt, boat, swim, and play tennis. He also enjoys baseball and basketball. Jim’s main reason for being out- doors is to enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of nature. Jim shows an interest for making things in his shop classes and he always does a very good job on them. This may be why he would like to become a carpenter after he is through with school. Jim, how- ever, has another interest in law, which he would also like to go into, so he may take that up in college and then decide after what he wants to be.
