Valedictorian HQ? 756 7, Awe BACCALAUREATE With the processional of the class of 1960, Baccalaureate began. The invocation was given by The Reverend Roger L. Eells. The audience then ioined in the singing of For the Beauty of the Earth by Kocher. Reverend Roy Mozena read the scripture and Reverend Eells led in prayer. Gaul's, For God So Loved the World and Adams', The Holy City were sung by Mixed Cho- ruses ll and lll. Reverend Drell H. Goff de- livered an inspiring class sermon, The Great Essential. The benediction was given by Reverend Mozena. With the recessional of the Seniors, the Baccalaureate Service for 1960 closed. The organists were Thomas Cooke and Ruth Cardwell. Salutatorian -.....-1 A last look at our school life. Who says graduation is sad? CLASS NIGHT At eight o'cIock on Friday, May 27, 1960, the gan their processional into the auditorium. The Tiger Clan presented its scholarship award and the outstanding Senior in each course was recognized. Awards were then presented by the Allied Chemical Corp. Semet Solvay Division, Dayton Malle- able, Kiwanis and Lions clubs. Ardys Leftwich played an alto sax solo, Cynthia. Marjorie Miller then delivered her valedictory address, The American Ideal. There were tears in the eyes of some Seniors as they sang the Alma Mater for the last time as undergraduates. Diane Hunter gave the closing prayer which was followed by the recessional. The organist was Regina Collins and the accompanist, John Boggs.
