NINETEE FIFTY All the world s a stage And all the men and women merely players Two score and six months ago the class of 1950 was hustled through the halls of I H S for the first time to take our respective roles in our world To assure a bang up school year we elected Peter Whitcombe president and then, using St. Valentine as the theme, we romped to the tunes of the juke box at the annual frosh party. By the fall of 1947 our dynamic energy had been somewhat tamed. We chose Alton Stowell soph commander-in-chief and named Geollrey Mynott and Hilda Klumpp sovereigns of the tenth grade dance, Kaptain Kidd's Kapers. jeff Mynott presided over us during our junior year. Highlights of our first experience as upper classmen were the December hop, Naughty Ninety Nonsense, and the junior prom, Oriental Fantasy, held April 9. With james Rasbach as chairman, the class sponsored Red Cross drive achieved a tremendous success when it rang up a grand total of S172.87. Suddenly we found ourselves seniors. Kenneth Perrin took over the reins of the class while james Rasbach piloted the Rodequoit, and Georgia Luther and john Evans manned the Neodaon- daquat. Forgetting tradition, we staged the senior ball in December amid fragrant evergreens and a lighted cotton snowman. Now, as the curtain is drawn on the last act of our high school life, we shall step into another stage, an uncloistered world at the threshold of the second half of the twentieth century. With us we take a more mature knowledge and a heart full of priceless memories that will endure even in an atomic age.
