They are important because they have shaped our lives, characters, and outlooks, and they will continue to do so through the rest of our lives. Since these things are important, we want to remember them, and to be able to recall them at times in the future. Our memories can't be trusted to this im- portant task, so we have collected our high school experiences in this annual. Some day, we shall be able to look back and find in its pages a record of the things that have molded us. PROUDLY WE HONCR. ,Q M5415 .,. 1. aux I.. ., r lift!- eflk ' 1' b- 11, fl fi, . 'PTO OUR HERO DEAD IN WORLD REAR ll. -' '-fi 4 We, the Class of l948, proudly dedicate this annual to those sixteen alumni who gave their lives in de- fense of their country. They, and others like them, have made a great sacrifice for us, and we shall endeavor in the future to maintain the principles their lives have thus far preserved for us. ADMINISTRATION BOARD OF EDUCATION-Left to Right: John F. Muxworthy, Clerk, William C. Hill, President, Theron E. Bastian, Vice-President, Leo Smith, Charles Morrison. Mr. Richard C. Tettt, Principal, Miss Virginia Biuso, Secretary. Mr. TeFFt, our principal, returned to IHS from the service in 1946 and has well earned the respect of the student body. His departure in February to become principal of the Ballston Spa High School was the cause of much disappointment. Our memories of him will include his classroom chats and his clever ways of encouraging us to behave. Mr. Floyd B. Rasbach, Superintendent of Schools. Miss Winona Northup, Secretary. Mr. Rasbach, our iovial superintendent, was new in l947, but he is now well-established. Changes we shall all remember since his arrival are the remodeling, painting, and cleaning of IHS. This is not his only achievement, but it is perhaps the most obvious to us as students. l.
