PAULIE As a freshman at I. H. S. Paul was sub. on the 2nd team. Then he moved up to be a regular on the 2nd team as a sophomore. In his junior year he alternated With Tom Sermersheim as a member of the varsity starting five. As one of the startirg five in his senior year, Paulie was really valuable with his passing and play around the basket. His drives around the end line and his hook shots will long be remembered by Spud fans. Paul was a very valuable asset to the team. MORRIE Morris was a regular on the 2nd team in his freshman yearg in his soph. year he was sub- stitute on the varsity squad and as a junior he was one of the leading scorers as a regular on the lst team. This year, a senior and captain, Morris proved more valuable than ever. He was one of the most versa- tile players Ireland has had for quite a while. Although he stands 5 ft. 10 in., Morris re- bounded With the fierceness and skill of a 6 ft. 4 in. professional. TOMMY Tom started his basketball career as a substitute on the Spud 2nd team. Then he moved up as a regular during his soph. term. As a junior he alternated with Paul Schitter as a starter for the varsity. As a senior he was on the starting five of the varsity. Tom is especially known for his spirit and determination. He was one of the finest guards in this district. His will to win was unsurpassed. Z4
