Coach Redwine, Burney, Vinson, Sumruld, Bailey. Mengwasset, Maupin, Woosley, Frod. The Ira Basketball boys finished a successful season this year by winning three out of eight conference games. Entering the Ira tournament the boys won first place. Linnon Burney won an individual award at the home tournament. James Maupin won an individual award at the Herm leigh tournament. The main five were: Linnon Burney, centerg Jimmie Woosley, forward: Scrubby Vinson, forward John Mengwasser, guardg James Maupin, guard. Mengwasser was high point man with 137 points. Next to him was Linnon Burney with 127 points Bumey was followed by Maupin who scored 106 points. Next to Maupin was Woosley who scored 59 points. Scrubby Vinson scored 50 points to be the bottom score man. Losing only one player this year the boys hope, with careful coaching and the needed amount of spirit to have a very successful team next year.
