STUDENT COUNCIL Student government on the campus is in the hands of the Student Council, an elective body composed of thirteen students. The senior and junior classes each have four representatives, the sophomores have three and the freshmen two. The council with the help of a faculty committee tries to interpret student opinion and handle any matters which may arise in a way satisfactory to both students and faculty. SIGMA TAU DELTA Sigma Tau Delta is the national honorary fraternity for English majors. The aim of the fraternity is to further the interests of English, especially with regard to creative writing. This work is aided by a contest each year for the selection of the best story or essay, written by a Freshman. The fraternity awards a medal to the winner.
