What is known as the Link has been constructed between the Chemistry and Physics Buildings. This building con- necting the adjoining buildings will house the main oliices of the InstitiUe on the c ampiis. The two sections will be connected by a tunnel. Llie Institute procures funds from many sources other than the state budget. Almcjst all of the funds for the present expansion originated outside ol the stale appropriations. The war time record of the Atomic Institiue as primarily the production of a purer low cost uranium and thorium.
