Baylor Uni er- sity, Texas A : M, Columbia University and the University of Chicago. He ser ed as registrar for Texas . c M from 1 9 1 2 to 1 924. and as Dean of the School of Arts and .Sciences for the same institiuion from 1924 to 1932, at which time he took the post of Dean of Science here at Iowa State. In 1935 he took on the added responsibility of col- lege ice-president. and assiuned the posi- tion of president in 193(). A member of the honoraries Phi Mti Alpha. Phi Kappa Phi. Phi Delta Kappa and Scabbard and Blade, he ser es as a member of the lo va Academy of Sciences, is chairman of the State Rhodes Scholarshij) selection committee, and is a member of the Des Moines Rotarv club.

G ' overnor £L ue This is Robert 1). Blue, our governor. He ' as born in Eagle Gro ' e on September 24, 1898. Educated at Iowa State, he also received schooling at The Capital Clity Com- mercial College and at Drake University where he received the degree of Bachelor oi Law. A member of Phi Alpha Delta, hon- orary law fraternity, he was admitted to the bar in 1922. He served as Wright County attorney in 1933 and 1931. In 111, .. , he be- came a member of the State Legislature vhere he served as floor leader from 1937 to 1941 and as Speaker of the House for the next two years. In 1943, he was elected Lieutenant Governor and two years later adxanced to the governorship. A member ol the Wright Coiuity Bar Association and the Ele enth Judicial District Bar Associa- tion his cniiside interests include farming, hunting and niox ie photography.
