Grace Co. We Offer Our Congratulations to the Class of 1978 How long do you think it takes to plan and build a power plant? Two years? Four years? Eight years? If you guessed eight, you're right. Eight years to locate and purchase the right site, oaier equipment, plan and build a lignite-fueled power plant, obtain approvals from all regulatory agencies, and then test the plant's operation carefully. It takes even longer for a nudear- fueled plant —10 to 12 years. Right now Texas Electric is having to build expen- sive new' plants that generate electridty with coal and nuclear fuel. This w'ay, in the years ahead, your generation will have the electricity it needs fora lot o important things— homemaking, jobs, education, health care and cleaning up the environment. Building these plants is something we have to do, so that when the need is there tomorrow, the elec- tricity will be there, too. Texas Electric Services Company Appreciation The 1978 HAWK YEARBOOK STAFF would like to express sincere appreciation to our advertisers, who helped make the annual possible; and to Mr. Bob Hamilton and the Iowa Park Leader for the use of sports action shots. We would also like to extend much thanks to Mrs. Raydean Mattis, our sponsor, for all her guidance, effort, and devotion; and to Mr. Bob Dawson, our principal for his support and understanding. We wish to express a special thank you to all the faculty and student body for making Iowa Park High School our kind of place. 222 Seniors Adams, Stacie — 38, 74 Yearbook 12; Journal- ism 11; Volleyball Mgr. 11; Pep Squad 10.
