The Night Life Excitement and spirit could be felt in the air as students, parents, and alumni prepared themselves for the last night of Homecoming '86. As the game began, the crowd cheered the Jackets on in a grueling game against the Vinton Lions. At halftime, the 1986 homecoming court was presented. Miss Delane Comeax was crowned 1986 homecoming queen. The game resumed after the Queen and her court were presented. Iowa fans were disappointed as the Lions defeated the Jackets, 13-8. But Iowa got a bit of good news later when Vinton had to forfeit because of an ineligible player, the Jackets ended up with a homecoming victory afterall. The 1986 homecoming court featured eleven maids. They were as follows: Tisha Benoit, Michelle Nash, freshman maids, Amy Foreman, Monica LaCombeg sophomore maids, Shelly Ardoin, Nikki Breaux, and Tammy Huval, junior maids, Shery Corbello, Cheri Arement, Delane Comeax, and Camille Semiem, senior maids. 14fHomecoming
