Students Train for Mach1'nery Maintenance Jeff Boettcher and Lynn Rosenquist laugh it up in Farm Power, The Farm Power and Equipment Program was an eleven-month course designed to pre- pare its students for jobs as repair and mainte- nance mechanics in implement dealerships. Under the instruction of Mr. Theron Welzien and Mr. Ted Wiggins, the students learned the manipulative skills and technical information necessary to enter farm equipment position. They studied new machine setup and used--machine repair, gasoline and diesel engines, and farm equipment hydraulics and power trains. PraeZ1'ealMarkel1'ng Procedures Make Up The two-year Retail Marketing Management program was designed to prepare students for management and mid-management positions in retailing. The students, under the direction of Mr. Gerald Leberman, received classroom instruction and on-the -job training. Class- room instruction included subject matter relevant to a career in retail management, such as introduction to business, retailing, and human relations. Combined with the classroom studies were laboratory sessions housed in a facility with fixtures and equipment that stimulated a retail store. Three on-the-job training sessions provided the students with approximately a thousand clock hours of paid, planned, and supervised retail experience. Stu- dents who successfully completed the course were awarded an Associate of Applied Science Degree.
