AD Students Practice Nursing Skills The Associate Degree Nursing program prepared qualified graduate nurses for the State Board Licen- sure Examination for R.N. status in twenty-two months. Under the supervision of Mrs. Kathryn I-Iyllengren, students took nursing and related gen- eral education courses such as physical and social Science and communications. Classroom training preceded clinical practice. Students worked at Bethesda General and Mercy Hospitals and at Friendship Haven. During the summer, they spent eight weeks studying at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute and at the Woodward State Hospital and School. Auto M6ChUHl'CS Sludenls Practice Skills Mr. Fox and jim Osterson demonstrate their soft touch for Mr. Bell. Under the instruction of Mr. Rex Raine, Mr. Clair Meyer, and Mr. james Bell, students in the Auto Mechanics program received training in working with automobiles and in related technical study. The first-year students learned the basics of auto mechanics, which included work with live engines and tune-up equipment. The second-year students received training under actual working conditions and learned the techniques involved in tune -ups, auto transmissions, front-end alignment, electrical systems, and suspension and brke systems.
