They try to forget their bred apathy and take a stand on issues which affect them and their peers and try to instill in others the realization of the need to voice opinions. College Republltans A dopt ew C0rzst1'lul1'0n Webster City's College Republican Club was ex- constitution, held meetings discussing the problems tremely active this year. Under the chairmanship of Bing Welden since the fall of 1968 Webster Ci 's W CRS attended the State College Relpublican conven- tion in November, when Welden was elected a state officer. The College Republicans adopted a new of drug abuse and pollution, spearheaded the activi- ties on Earth Day, and assisted the local GOP in organizational tasks. Officers for the year were Wel- den, Ken Lu.ndy, janell Stark, Connie Cordes, John Osweiler, and Leah Yunglas. Police Chief Neff, Calvin Crane, State Chairman of CRS, and Region 1 Chairman, Bing Welden, speak to the group on drug abuse on college campuses.
