Brisbois, Miss Knopf, K. Dyvig, K. Johnson, J. Klaver, J. Carlberg, B. Wille, S. Schroeder. OE Club Studies Ojjice Skills The Office Education girls keep quite busy through- out the school year. They spend one-half day in on- the-job training in local business offices and one- half day in the classroom learning the various skills needed to become a secretarial or clerical worker. The girls receive instruction in the following areas: typewriting, accounting, English, office machines, charm and human relations, secretarial procedures. In addition to classroom instruction, the girls par- ticipate in the Office Education Club. The activities include fund-raising, community service projects, and social activities. The main activity of the year is the trip to Des Moines where the girls stay two days and participate in the State Office Education Leadership Conference. This conference is held in February. The girls have an opportunity to partici- pate in the contests in the office area, take tours, and do some shopping on their own. The contest is held in die Fort Des Moines Hotel.

The YD's of Hamilton County are a group of stu- dents interested in acquiring political experience, meeting people who make the laws, and taking an active interest in practicing our rights and duties as Americans who will some day take over the reins of government. They try to forget their bred apathy and take a stand on issues which affect them and their peers and try to instill in others the realization of the need to voice opinions.
